How
it works...
The fun begins
when the doors open at Stage West Theatre Restaurant. There is plenty
of time for the kids to get their share of the fabulous buffet -
prepared by the chef especially for kids tastes, including hot dogs,
pizza, fish sticks, and more desserts then you can imagine. But
don't worry, Mom and Dad, there is a wide variety of delicious foods
for you as well.
Soon, the plates are cleared away, the lights go down, Storyteller
arrives, and the show begins. It might be a modern version of Snow
White, set in a New York diner, or perhaps Hansel and Gretel will
run into Little Red Riding Hood, just for fun. And Storyteller knows
plenty of tales that you haven't heard before... who knows what
he's got in his bag of tricks?. But be careful, the characters he
creates have been known to come right off the stage into the audience!
Sooner or later, things will get out of control, and will require
your help to get back on course. There is plenty of fun for Mom &
Dad and Grandma & Grampa too
- Storyteller usually has a couple fun things just for them!
Families have been enjoying the Shadow Productions Stage West for
Kids series since 1992 - some of our first patrons are now bringing children of their own.
Book
your tickets early for the Christmas musical - it's always
a big hit with Calgary audiences. There are even a few grandparents who've run out of youngsters, and have decided "to heck with it! ... we'll just go ourselves!"
Let Stage West for Kids
become a tradition with your family. The characters
are bright and colorful, the stories are engaging, and the food
is delightful. Storyteller - and his friends and family - hope to see you there.
