Mystery Evening
A
home-town girl turned soap star. A gun. A government number-cruncher.
An incriminating note. A cantankerous old farmer. And these are
but a few of the myriad of characters who just may be on hand to
figure prominently into this evening of Calgary murder mystery and mayhem. A unique
blend of comedy, theatre and mystery, this custom designed interactive
entertainment uses good-natured parody and "insider information"
to entice the audience into playing along. There's ample opportunity
for guests to actively participate as much (or as little) as they
wish - and maybe even solve the mystery!
How
it works...
Your company
or party meets in the location of your choice, in Calgary or around Alberta(...a fine restaurant,
a hall, a private home, anywhere you can imagine...) Soon, the characters
begin to mingle in. They may be slightly familiar to you, as Shadow
Productions specialises entertainment just for you, creating
characters and situations based on your group.
The Narrator takes over, introducing the suspects and explaining
the rules of the game. It's then time for the work to begin - you
must eavesdrop on the conversations going on around you in order
to find out who has the motive to commit murder. The mystery isn't always
easy, as you may find yourself too busy laughing to pay attention
to the plot!
Eventually, someone drops dead. The Narrator becomes the coroner
and provides an instant autopsy. You the detectives must listen
carefully to the scenarios that follow, and try to figure out "whodunnit".
It is a murder mystery, so feel free to question the suspects, and try to catch them in a lie.
You can even "heckle" the characters - but be careful, as they will
heckle right back!
Before the night is over, you will submit a ballot that contains
your deductions as to who did the deed, what the murder weapon was,
and most importantly what the motive was. The Narrator returns,
announces the winner, and awards the prizes.
A Shadow Productions Calgary murder mystery is an evening you are not likely
